Splatter Studio Terms

The following terms and conditions outline your contract with SPLATTER STUDIO LANCASTER ("we", "us", “the company” and "our"). Please read these carefully as they govern the relationship between us, and set out our respective rights and obligations. These Booking Conditions refer to "you" and "your" as the first named person on the booking and include all persons on whose behalf a booking is made or any other person to whom a booking is added or transferred.

Upon making a booking, the first named person on the booking (“the Lead Name”) agrees on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking that:-

​

•           He/she/they has read these terms and conditions and has the authority to and does agree to be bound by them.

•           He/she/they consents to our use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy;

•           He/she/they is over 16 years of age and resident in the United Kingdom and where placing an order for services with age restrictions declares that he/she/they and all members of the party are of the appropriate age to purchase those services;

•           All information given to us is true and accurate

1. GENERAL

​

1.1. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to affect your statutory rights.

1.2. The trademarks and logos displayed on the website are the property of the company. You are not permitted to use these without a written consent of the company and you accept that any such use may constitute an infringement of the relevant proprietor’s rights.

1.3. These terms and conditions and any contract concluded incorporating these terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and all disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

 

1.4. The company collects and stores your personal details without disclosing it to any 3rd party and is dedicated to ensure that the privacy of your personal information is protected in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and in accordance with GDPR.

 

1.5. The company is entitled to charge the guests for any damages which is intentional and/or caused by misuse of items. The Lead Name will be responsible for their group and takes full responsibility of said damages and will be charged accordingly.

1.6. While you are on our premises, you must ensure to conform to our codes and regulations, adopt proper standards of behaviour, and cooperate with our employees.

1.7. The company will not tolerate any kind of bullying or harassment or aggressive behaviour towards its employees. Any such behaviour may result in refusal of entry, session termination or removal from our site. Under such a scenario, no compensation, refund (in full or part) or re-booking of the session will be made by Splash Art Republic.

 

 

 

 

2. GROUP BOOKINGS

​

If you are booking on behalf of a group, please ensure that you have the consent of all members of the party before making a booking and that all members of your party have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. The person who completes the booking online will be the "lead name” for the purposes of the booking. The lead name must be 16 years of age or over at the time of booking. The lead name is responsible for payment of the total booking price, which may include any subsequent cancellation or amendment charges that may be payable. The lead name must confirm that all the other members of the party agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and provide accurate and full information to the remainder of the group in relation to the booking, including any subsequent changes.

2.1. Only person(s) who are at least 16 years of age are permitted to book an activity.

a)   2.2. Any person(s) who are under the age of 16 taking part in the activity must be accompanied by an adult:

b)   For children aged 4 to 7 years, we encourage people to purchase the Artist & Apprentice Shared Station. All children aged 4-7 years old (Apprentice) must be accompanied by an adult on an “Artist & Apprentice” booking. Adults are not able to supervise more than one Apprentice. A maximum of one adult and one child are permitted per station.

c)   All children aged 8-11 years old (Young Pollock) must have a responsible adult in the studio to supervise them. Adults must pay for their own station. We are unable to accommodate more than 8 children to 1 Adult due to health and Safety restrictions.

d)   All children aged 12-15 years old (Teen Pollock) must have a responsible Adult on the premises but are not required to be in the studio with them.

e)   Unfortunately, due to the nature of our venue and very limited space in our Splash Art Studios, non-paying spectators cannot be admitted.

f)    If you arrive and have not booked the appropriate paying adult supervision for the activity / age range, you risk losing your booking and no refund shall be made. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have booked correctly.

2.3. In the event of any person(s) under the age of 16 taking part in a Splatter Studio Lancaster Activity, the Lead Name on the booking confirms that they shall accept responsibility for the welfare and behaviour of all those members of their group who are aged under 16.

2.4. This is a live event, and once the booking is confirmed, we cannot accept any cancellations or give any refunds. However, the company may reschedule the event once, in accordance with the following terms:

a)   If cancellations are more than 48 hours in advance of your booking we will reschedule your session free of charge.

b)   If cancellations are made less than 48 hours in advance of your booking you will not receive a refund. All bookings are final.

c)   If you are rescheduling between 48-24 hours in advance, you will incur a £10 rescheduling fee per station.

d)   We are unable to reschedule bookings with notice of 24 hours or less. In this case you will not receive a refund.

e)   If your whole party or an individual guest in a party does not show up to their booking, they will not receive a refund and do not have the option to reschedule.

f)    Any rescheduling after done must be confirmed by an email or in writing from the company and the Lead Name.

2.5. If Splatter Studio Lancaster should have to cancel or reschedule your booking for any reason, we will offer a 100% refund or offer an alternative date for your booking.

2.6. Any purchase on the website is only valid when processed by the company. You shall receive a confirmation once your booking is processed.

2.7. If you wish to transfer your booking(s) into someone else’s name, you must contact the company by either email or telephone at least two hours prior to the start of your booking. Your request may not be honoured and can be denied.

2.8. Bookings may not be transferred or resold for commercial purposes or at a premium. If a booking is transferred or resold in breach of this condition, the bearer of the booking or the person claiming the right to attend the event will be refused admission.

2.9. You are entirely responsible for entering your details correctly on the Online Booking Form.

2.10. You are responsible for your own time-keeping. If you do not arrive on time we reserve the right to cancel your booking. You must arrive 5-10 minutes before the event’s stated start time to allow for the event to start promptly. A booking becomes a no-show and entry will be declined if you are late by 20 minutes or more. In such a situation the money is not refundable and the booking will not be rescheduled.

2.11. You will not be permitted entry to Splatter Studio Lancaster earlier than 10 minutes prior to your booking slot. Our staff will be working with other visitors or preparing materials for your arrival.

3. SPECIAL REQUESTS

Any special requests must be advised to us at the time of booking. Although we will endeavour to meet any special requests, we regret we cannot promise that any requests will be complied with unless we have specifically confirmed this in writing. Failure to meet any special request will not be a breach of contract on our part unless the request has been specifically confirmed. We do not accept bookings that are conditional upon any special request being met.

 

4. ACCESS, DISABILITIES, MEDICAL ISSUES

4.1. Splatter Studio Lancaster is located in a Georgian Grade II listed building. Access to our Splatter Studio is on the lower floor via a staircase which is part of the historical listing. There is no lift and we do not have toilet facilities. Unfortunately, due to the historical nature of the building, it’s not accessible for disabled people or individuals who have mobility issues.

4.2. Our venue is colourful and can be busy, particularly at weekends. We do have back ground music playing and the environment (particularly the splash art studio) has the potential to be overstimulating for neurodivergent guests and those who struggle with sensory overload / overstimulation. Please contact us before booking so we can recommend the most suitable session for your needs.

5. PRICE AND PAYMENT

5.1. The prices of our activities are stated on the website under the booking section.

5.2. The prices are set and non-negotiable.

5.3. Standard bookings and group bookings can be made online only. Full payment is required at the time of booking.

5.5. In case of less people attending the event than it is booked for, the price difference will not be refunded.

5.6. We reserve the right to amend the price of bookings at any time.

7. SAFETY

​

7.1. Each attendee will be instructed before their session by an employee of the company. After being briefed on the process, health and safety, our rules and expectations, each guest will participate at their own risk. The company is not liable for any (personal or equipment) damages caused by not following the rules described before the session and in the FAQ’s on our website.

7.2. Fire exits signs are clearly marked.

7.3. People (whom in our staff’s opinion) are excessively under the influence of alcohol or appear to have used drugs will not be admitted and their game stated as no-show.

7.4. You may bring a reasonable and not excessive amount of alcoholic drinks to our Adults Only sessions or private hire bookings.

7.5. To be admitted you must confirm the full name of the booker and might be asked to confirm phone number and email address the booking confirmation was sent to.

7.6. By booking Splatter Studio Lancaster, you (“The Lead Name”) and all members of your group agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of sale specified herein. Splatter Studio Lancaster or its employees shall not be liable for any death, personal injury, loss or damage caused while in the venue, location or place related to Splatter Studio Lancaster (“Site”).

8. PHOTOS

8.1. Photos may be taken during your booking for use in our social media campaigns

8.2. Photos may be stored on our server for future use

8.3. Photos may be uploaded to social media sites without names.
